I’m writing to you from the perspective of someone who’s only read the Breaking Bad plot—not from an actual viewer. Shocking, I know.
What’s more, I’m watching the new episode with both my parents, contemplating whether or not I should have given out car wash vouchers as giveaway prizes.
The premiere, everyone.
According to Twitter, the episode highlights ran as follows:
1. “Hello, Carol.”
Besides tweeting the quote at the same moment as the official Breaking Bad twitter, Carol’s poor face looked pretty priceless when she got a glimpse of Walter again after so long. Don’t know why he looks so worn down? Hint: it isn’t all because of time passed.
2. Hank's “Heart attack.”
Or stomach bug. Or stroke. Or ungodly revelation about Walter White.
However much of the premiere you’ve seen yet, I can promise you this: Walt and Hank face off over Hank’s grief before the episode runs out. Quotables abound—your blogger tweeted them all with one hand clapped to her mouth.
3. Jesse Pinkman
Jesse Pinkman doesn’t look so hot during the season premiere episode. We soon come to learn guilt’s a bitter pill to swallow, as he’s done nothing but find every way possible to get rid of the laundered money. Watch to the end of the episode to find whose lives he changes with his last-ditch attempts at redemption.
4. Walter White
He shares the same initials as Walt Whitman, and he comes armed with a plot twist the viewing world was not ready to witness. I won’t say hint more than what Hank so eloquently affirmed: ‘rot in hell.’
This episode’s quotables:
"Cause he's a doctor, bitch! Look it up, it's science!" (If only)
“You need to stop focusing on the darkness behind you. The past is the past.”
“If you don’t know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly.”
